Founded in 1997, Yama Adventures is a boutique travel company specializing in culturally immersive and spiritually enriching journeys across the Himalayan region and beyond. With deep roots in Ladakh and years of experience guiding in these remote landscapes, we offer both classic and custom-made adventures that reflect the richness and diversity of the region.
Rinchen Namgial is the owner and head organizer of Yama Adventures. He can usually be found at the home office, located in Leh, Ladakh, except when he is out leading treks or tours.

Our Story
Yama Adventures began as a partnership between Namgial, a seasoned Ladakhi trek leader, and the Logsdon brothers, passionate Himalayan travelers from the U.S. After years of trekking in the region, the Logsdons wanted to share their love for the mountains with others. Together, they launched Yama Adventures, running treks across the Himalayas — always with Ladakh at the heart of their work.
Today, Yama Adventures is proudly led by Namgial, who continues to carry the spirit of the founders — offering authentic journeys, personal attention, and local expertise.
